Thanks to Sound Valley, a free utility for Windows-powered machines, you can listen to calming, relaxing, nature sounds. You can sit back in your favorite chair, relax and unwind as Sound Valley plays nature sounds in the background. You can mediate, take a quick nap, or just sit back and unwind for a bit.

Sound Valley can be installed on a PC powered by Windows XP, Windows 7, or Windows 8. To install the application, you will have to go through a standard setup procedure: download an installer (a 32.3Mb executable), run it, follow the onscreen instructions displayed by a setup wizard.

There is nothing complicated about the application's interface. As a matter of fact, it is similar to what music players have to offer. You will quickly get the hang of it and you will have no problems accessing the functionality Sound Valley has to offer.

And speaking about functionality, here’s a quick look at the features Sound Valley puts at your disposal: multiple scenes to choose from (Forest – Day, Forest – Night, Forest – Rain, Forest – Rain and Thunder, Sea Day, Sea Night), set the scene duration (infinity, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and more), automatically run Sound Valley at startup, automatically launch the playback after start, set “sleep in” duration (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, and so on), automatically shut down the PC, set reminders to take a break.

Sound Valley is freeware. You will not have to worry about spending your hard earned money to use this application.

Sit back, unwind, and listen to the soothing nature sounds that Sound Valley plays in the background.

Pros

Sound Valley provides support for XP, 7, and 8; you won’t have any problems installing the application on a PC powered by any of these Windows editions. The Sound Valley interface is very easy to use. There are several scenes to choose from. There’s a handy sleep timer and a reminder to take a break. Sound Valley is freeware.

Cons

None that I could think of.
